![]() Extremely Repetitive Final Boss Battle, I won't go to in detail with this other than saying the Final Boss Battle felt so dragged out I found myself just begging for it to end if you play this game you'll understand what I mean. This time around they have been replaced by Maniacs which are basically just pushovers and a sorry replacement for Psychopaths. Not to include some psychos posed a real challenge in older games like DR1 & 2. Removal of Psychopaths, This is something I seriously missed throughout my playthorugh, In the older games I always looked forward to finding out what unique kind of crazy I was going to find and I usually enjoyed the neat little cutscenes you got with finding and defeating them. DLC Baited Ending, This also goes with what I said in point 5. No Endgame or Replay Value, I can't say much on this without spoiling things but I'll just say the ending sucks. This honestly bugged me almost as much as not having the Co-Op, it's something that just makes no logical sense and really gets under your skin. Impostor Frank West, First off my biggest issue with frank is he's 52 or 54 whichever version Capcom's going with these days anyway why does a 52 year old look like a man in his prime 30's this guy looks nothing like Frank, They dropped the original voice actor so he doesn't even sound like Frank really there was no reason for this Protagonist to be Frank other than to cash in off the franchises fans and their love for Frank West. Also everything feels awkward unlike the controls in singleplayer, This mode looks like apart of the game but doesn't feel like it. I don't really have much to say about it as I just haven't felt the urge to touch this mode after playing it for about 20 minutes. The Replacement Multiplayer Mode, This mode is so incredibly rushed in and unpolished it's almost not even worth playing. And of course pop in textures are still noticeable here, no where on the disgusting level they were in DR3 but they are still an issue and a buzzkill. Performance & Bugs, This game can be a complete mess at times from walking through *solid* objects, Zombies you're required to kill to complete missions straight up disappearing or glitching into walls, Frank getting stuck on nothing for 10 seconds or so with enemies just unloading on you, Entire cutscenes playing without any sound or subtitles (This happened to me through pretty much all of Case 6). My Co-Op memories from DR2 are some of the best gaming memories I have and will probably ever have and with the removal of Co-Op this time around I just felt really sour the entire time playing through always just thinking to myself why couldn't my friend be apart of this. No Co-Op Campaign, There really isn't much I can say about this one, I have absolutely no idea what the hell Capcom were thinking when they decided to remove the DR Franchise's best selling point which was it's Co-Op Campaign experience. And this also serves as the only real major selling point for DR4, The game offers you something you can't get anywhere else but at huge costs and with that onto the negative. I had never seen that many zombies on my screen at one time and that experience has been doubled here, I can't express how awesome it is to walk around a corner and just see what seems like thousands of zombies all piled up and waiting for you to tear your way through. The numbers, The reason I liked DR3 even though that game looked and ran terribly was because of the amount of zombies. The Christmas setting, It's very rare we see a game get given a specific theme but I did enjoy this theme here from the xmas themed weapons to costumes and overall level design it suits killing hoards of zombies in the strangest way. I think for fans that enjoyed the timer challenge/core mechanic of the franchise, It should have still been an option there for players that want to use it and it would've only offered more replay value. ![]() No Forced Timer, I personally enjoy not being rushed through my experience because it does not suit my playstyle, I like to take my time to roam around killing endless amounts of zombies and checking out each unique area on the map however I don't agree with how Capcom took care of this. Capcom took 2 steps forward and 10 steps back with DR4, I'll start with what I like about the game. No Forced Timer, I personally enjoy not being rushed through my experience because it does not suit my playstyle, I like to take my time to roam around killing endless amounts of zombies and checking out each unique I don't even know where to begin with Dead Rising 4.
